Dr. Deepak Natarajan

Dr. Deepak Natarajan is currently working with Fortis Hospital Greater Noida as a Consultant - Cardiology Department. He is one of the Top Interventional Cardiologist in India with having more than 40 years of experience in this field, recognized for his groundbreaking work percutaneous Mitral Ballon Valvotomy with the Inoue Ballon Catheter and being the first cardiologist in the country to administer Intracoronary and Intravenous Streptokinase in Acute Myocardial Infraction. He obtained his Medical Degree from Maulana Azad Medical College. He has subsequent to his training at the GB Pant Hospital New Delhi (DM Cardiology), performed as a Senior Consultant in Cardiology at the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia New Delhi, besides being the Chief of Cardiology for more than a decade and Additional Medical Superintendent over there. He committed himself to establishing a state of art Cardiac Catherization Laboratory and a comprehensive Cardiac Surgery Department at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. During his tenure at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, he was awarded numerous International Fellowships with some of the leading Interventional Cardiologist of the World such as Prof. Masakiyo Nobuyoshi of Japan, Prof. Gary Rubin of the USA, Prof. Robert Greenbaum of the UK (special interest EPS). He also set up a Cardiology Department with Catheterization Laboratory at Saroj Hospital Rohini Delhi. He was associated with Moolchand Hospital and headed Max Hospital at Delhi. He has impeccable experience in the field of Coronary Angioplasty & Stenting, Percutaneous Ballon Valvotomy, Biventricular pacing in CHF and ICD Implantation for leading research institute and organization. He also has distinction of serving as a Cardiologist to three Prime Minister and one President of India, Numerous Cabinet Ministers and Chief Ministers and was also appointed as Cardiologist to H.E. Nelson Mandela during his visit to India, by the Government of India. Dr. Deepak Natarajan has published numerous International Papers on various subjects in Interventional Cardiology. He has been invited as a Faculty Member in 2011 both to TCT Asia Summit, South Korea (to present a difficult case of left main artery Stenting) and the TCT Meet San Francisco USA (to present complex PCI Cases including left main artery disease). His Abstract on the detection of Cerebral Micro Emboli during percutaneous Mitral Ballon Valvotomy was accepted for presentation by Euro PCR 2009. He was awarded S.B.
