Dr Harsimrat Bir Singh Sodhi is a well known neurosurgeon, with over 14years of experience in the field of neurosurgery. After completing his MBBS from Govt Medical College, Amritsar, he went on to complete his post graduation in General Surgery from Pt B D Sharma PGIMS, Rohtak in 2008. He joined Neurosurgery at PGIMER for his post doctoral neurosurgery training in 2009, and passed out three years later with top honours. Post completion, he joined PGIMER as Assistant Professor Neurosurgery, till he left PGI in Dec 2016. During his stay at PGI, he joined a NSI Sponsored Skull Base Training Fellowship at PGI only, where he got hands on to critical skull base surgeries. He also did a NeuroEndoscopy Fellowship from Jabalpur, under the mentorship of Prof Y R Yadav. In Year 2014, he went to London for a spine training program and joined there as an MIS Spine Fellow at London Hospital and at Thomas’ Hospital. For his further interest in spine and honing his skill, he went to Bordeaux, France for his Endoscopic Spine Fellowship, while working under the pioneer of Endoscopic spine surgeries, Dr Jean Destandau. After leaving PGI, he joined as Consultant Neurosurgery at Alchemist Hospital, Panchkula for a period of 2 & half years, and since July 2019 onwards, he’s working at Fortis as Senior Consultant Neurosurgery. Dr H S Sodhi has penned more than 30 research publication in International reputed journals, and has operated on more than 5000 brain and spine surgeries till date.
