Dr. Prateek Varshney has vast experience in the field of Oncology and Surgical Oncology of more than 15 years. He has done his initial education of MBBS, MS (Surgery ) from Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh. Due to his extreme interest in Oncology, he did his super-specialization training, MCh Surgical Oncology from prestigious Regional Cancer Centre, Gujarat Cancer Research Institute(GCRI), Ahmedabad. He also gained experience in different fields of Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Prior to joining Fortis Hospital, he has worked as Head of Department of Surgical Oncology at Shanti Mukand Hospital, Delhi, Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, Faridabad, and Metro Hospital & Cancer Institute, Delhi. He believes in managing cancer patients according to evidence-based Multi modality protocols. He has a special interest in the minimally invasive surgical management of cancer patients with the aim of giving better functional and cosmetic results. He is an expert in the surgical management of Head and Neck Cancers, Breast cancers, Thoracic Malignancies, Gynecological cancers, and soft tissue tumors. He regularly updates himself with recent guidelines for cancer management and contributes to many national and international conferences. He is a certified Robotic surgeon and regularly performing robotic surgery for cancer like thoracic, GI, Head & Neck and Gynaecological malignancies.
