Dr. Rima Chaudhari completed her D.M Neurology from AIIMS, New Delhi in 2014. She has also completed a clinical fellowship in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology from the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA, IN 2021. Her work involves all acute and chronic neurological disorders. Her special area of interest is in epilepsy and especially medically refractory epilepsy. She is trained to manage children and adults including geriatric patients with all sorts of epilepsy and seizures like focal seizures, seizures due to cortical dysplasia or tumors, drug resistant seizures, status epilepticus etc. She also manages epilepsy in various settings like sleep and epilepsy, pregnancy and epilepsy, seizures in setting of ICU, seizure medication related adverse events, traumatic brain injury and seizures.
She is also trained in evaluating and performing variety of clinical neurophysiology studies like visual and auditory evoked potentials, somato-sensory evoked potentials, intra operative mapping and EEG interpretation in very young infants to adulthood in critical care settings as well.
She has started the video EEG monitoring unit and works with her team caring for, refractory epilepsy patients which also includes monitoring non epileptic patients and also pre-surgical evaluation of drug resistant epilepsy patients. Her team at Fortis, Mulund, is able to offer epilepsy diagnosis, treatment, video EEG monitoring, treating complex patients, vagal nerve stimulation, resective surgery, intracranial EEG interpretation, EEG evaluation in the ICU setting, language mapping with functional MRI etc.
