Dr. Udipta Ray is a general and GI surgeon with 25 years of expertise performing GI and General surgery both open and laparoscopic. He is a trained Da Vinci Robotic Surgeon, a pioneer and a proctor in Eastern India, and one of the most renowned GI, Robotic and hernia surgeons in the city. Dr. Ray earned his MS in 2001 and Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2002. He has extensive experience performing liver, colorectal, gastro-esophageal, pancreatic, hernia repair, GI/HPB, intestinal, gallbladder, bariatric and metabolic, and other abdominal procedures, open, laparoscopic and robotic. He is also a certified laparoscopic surgeon for 22 years, trained Bariatric, colorectal and certified laser surgeon. He has co-authored a number of research publications on various topics of gastrointestinal surgery.
