General Information
The test contents in the medical examination packages are as per the advice of the Australian high commission only. If required additional tests have to be done as per their protocol.
How to Schedule Appointment
Applicants are requested to make mandatory prior appointments for the medical examination to our call centre through the following telephone numbers: 080-66214444 – Monday to Saturday – between 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Sunday Off.
Applicants who are unable to keep up their appointment are requested to cancel at least one day prior to the appointment day.
What to being on the day of the Medical Examination
- Original passport
- 1 Xerox copy of the bio-data page of the passport
- 2 Recent photos and the letter from the embassy with the HAP ID in it
- Covid Vaccination Certificate.
- Childhood Immunization records (English Version )
- Please bring the photo copy of old medical reports / List of medicines that you are taking/ Doctors Prescription
- Bring your spectacles or eye glasses
- For Females – Please do not attend the medicals during the menstrual cycle.
Additional Information
- Please bring the photo copy of old medical reports / medicines / prescription (if any) / Glasses (If worn)/ surgical records/ Discharge summary/ Chest X Ray / Lab Reports
- Pregnant applicants only : Pregnant women should get a clearance letter from their Gynaecologist before undergoing Chest X- ray have the option to undergo chest x ray with protective gear (double lead shield covering of the abdomen)
- Food – no restrictions/ Fasting is not required for medical exam
- Take your regular medication as advised by your Doctor on the day of appointment
Temporary visa
- Age -0 to 10yr – Physical examination
- Below 15yr – Physical Examination + Urine Dip Stick
- Above 15yr – Physical examination + Chest-X ray + Serum Creatinine.
For Permanent visa
In addition to the above, the following tests are to be done:
- Age above 15 yrs.- blood test for HIV + Physical examination + Chest X Ray
- Age 2 to 11 – either Tuberculin skin test or blood test- QuantiFERON TB + physical examination
Duration of The Visa Medical Process
- 3 to 4 hours on the day of appointment.
Payment Details
- All fees must be borne by the applicant and can be paid in cash / Credit card/ NEFT/UPI
- The cost of TB related investigations and the DOT treatment of Drug susceptible TB is included in the initial payment.
- If any other further tests are advised by the panel physician after the medical examination as per DIBP, applicant has to bear the cost.
- Cost of additional test – As per the current hospital tariff
Results
Reports will be uploaded online in e Medicals system as per the guidelines
