He sees patients with complex problems requiring complex primary joint replacement of the hip, knee, elbow and shoulder as well as revision (re-do) joint surgery for failed hip and knee joint replacements. Dr. Chakravarty performs Patello-femoral joint and Unicompartmental( partial) knee joint replacements under the appropriate clinical conditions. Dr. Chakravarty has special interest in treating young patients with hip pathologies such as arthritis and AVN using hip preservation techniques and later un-cemented hip replacements and ceramic bearings when needed.
